Scorpion launch new CHP system

Scorpion Power Systems has unveiled their powerthermâ„¢ range of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems.

powertherm offers a pre-engineered package design - utilising a low emission natural gas engine - that reduces up-front engineering, site design and installation costs.

The system is designed to eliminate brown or black outs and is said to reduce energy costs as well as increase power reliability and quality.

The system's engine technology is also intended to give improved fuel consumption in addition to shrinking a company's carbon footprint.

Scorpion's Hawk Eye remote monitoring system comes included, providing an immediate reaction to faults or any decline in efficiency. Synchronising controllers also allow powertherm to run in sync with a standby generator.

Able to support both inside and outside applications, the company's CHP technology can recover waste heat to provide heating and hot water, further reducing energy consumption.

powertherm is also fully compliant with existing and future UK regulations on exhaust emissions.
